Sorry for the slight gap between posting this, and my previous blog post - I've been busy moving house, and just haven't had the chance to sit down and write. Hopefully I'll start getting back into the routine of posting now we're settled! Anyway, I'm coming at you today with another product post - we're looking at Itty Bittys by Hallmark. Itty Bittys are a product that a lot of UK collectors have been aware of for a while I think - we would see photos from America all the times on Instagram, but up until recently they actually were not available to buy in the UK. Finally they're starting to become more and more widely available, as they are currently through Hallmark's Amazon web shop and at some independent retailers throughout the country, as well as Morrisons, Toys R Us and Co-Op.

JANUARY 'MICKEY MEMORIES' PLUSH / DISNEY STORE UK

After what feels like a mildly tense past couple of days - my Mickey Memories plush for January finally arrived this afternoon, and I'm so relieved it came safely. There seemed to be a bit of a delay in me receiving my order, and the tracking number suggested that the parcel could not be collected - leading me to believe it was lost forever! However, after a delivery to the wrong depot, Hermes finally picked up my order and delivered it safely to me today. With the plush now sold out online, and sold out in most stores - I was worried I was going to miss out on the only soft toy from the Mickey Memories series that I'm after. Alas, that is not the case, and he is now safely nestled in my collection ☺

CELEBRATING 'COCO' WITH DISNEY UK

Finally the weekend that we've been (not so?) patiently waiting for in the UK has arrived - and Coco has been released! We seem to have been waiting so long for this one - Mexico got it at the end of October, and pretty much everywhere else (bar some European countries) in November/December. Perhaps this is potentially due to Disney not wanting to go up against Paddington 2? Who knows. Anyway, preview showings took place last weekend (I managed to see the film then, read my spoiler free review here), and went on general release Friday just gone - and the reaction seems to be pretty much universal - that it's beautiful, heart-warming, funny, totally emotional & a complete tear jerker.

This year with my blog I want to launch a 'Closer Look' series - taking (you guessed it...) a 'closer look' at individual items, just so that I'm not inundating my Instagram feed with images of the same items over & over. I thought what better way than to kick it off, than with my bargain buy of the month! 

'COCO' REVIEW UK / DISNEY PIXAR

January/February is always an exciting time for films, as we come into awards season and the best movies of the year are released - there's loads to choose from if you fancy a trip to the cinema, but a lot of the more award-sy type films can be a little heavy sometimes. So to have Coco released at the same time as films like Darkest Hour, and Three Billboards is perfect for a little light relief. Don't be fooled though - make sure you take a full pack of tissues in with you!

PLANS FOR MY DISNEY COLLECTION IN 2018

So 2017 saw my collection expand a lot, from mugs to pins to plushes, you name it - I probably bought it! It also saw a trip to Walt Disney World, so lots of sentimental items joined my collection too, as this trip was definitely a bucket list one. That being said, it was definitely a year of mostly impulse buying, and not much thought into what I wanted to focus my collection on, or add to it. Taking all this into consideration, I've decided 2018 is the year I'm going to work and save towards adding some special pieces to my collection, and make sure I have a clear plan going into the next 12 months - something to work towards if you will! I'm going to give a little break down below of some of my plans over the coming months for my collection. Enjoy!
